However, Orpheus is already suspicious. Orpheus already mentioned how quickly Lucas guzzled the booze down. Then, Orpheus gave Lucas another bottle but wanted him to take one sip in front of him. Lucas might think he’s covered, but chances are that Orpheus knows he’s up to something.

With Orpheus having connections inside the prison as well as outside, could the plan go wrong? If Kate can’t stop Roman, then Lucas could suffer deadly consequences for deceiving Orpheus. Of course, Marlena’s deal with the devil might have something to do with Orpheus’ fate. So, that might be why Kate tries to stop Roman from making a huge mistake.
