However, their one-night stand is teased to turn into something more. Then, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) returns and is furious to find out that Jake has moved on and to discover his new romantic partner.

DOOL spoilers reveal that when Kate told Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) that she would keep an eye on Jake, it didn’t go as she planned. From practically the start, Jake was giving hints and flirting with her. However, nothing happened because Chad walked in and the two brothers started debating and fighting, as usual.

In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, it is confirmed that Jake and Kate will end up in bed. It’s a one-night stand and even though viewers are a bit shocked, they aren’t all that surprised. After all, Kate always seems to hop into bed with somebody. However, it seems that these two might have the intention of doing it one-time-only, but it could turn into something more.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that head writer Ron Carlivati discussed the storyline with the magazine. He teased, “This could be a controversial pairing of Jake and Kate. The two of them living under the same roof kind of developed, like, ‘Huh, what about these two?’ So, you’ll see in November what the initial inciting incident is that gets them together. It’s kind of a one-night fling that may develop into something more.”

As fans know, Gabi is set to return soon. DaysCafe teased that when she does, she won’t like the fact that Jake and Kate are a hot item. Even though she will be furious with him, the spoiler site suggested that things aren’t over for Jake and Gabi yet. So, we will have to see what Gabi does. Plus, Jake doesn’t know the real reason why Gabi left Salem.
