DOOL spoilers reveal that Gabi has been trying to figure out why Jake won’t admit that he is Stefan. She comes up with two possible theories. That either he doesn’t remember that he is Stefan, or he’s protecting Gabi by pretending to be someone else. However, there is a problem with the latter theory. If he had to lay low to protect Gabi, then wouldn’t it be safer for him to be somewhere besides Salem?

Even though Gabi thinks finding out the truth about Jake/Stefan is the most important thing to do right now. However, Jake has more pressing concerns. He is in a boatload of trouble and some men beat up Ben in order to send Jake a message. He will be questioned not just by Ben and Ciara, but by Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) as well. Jake doesn’t have time to entertain Gabi’s theory. But the more she pushes, the more Jake will try to avoid her.
