Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease as General Hospital’s Victor Cassadine goes down, that could mean Charles Shaughnessy will return to DOOL as Shane Donovan. Announcements have come from the GH powers that be that Charles is off contract there as the Cassadine patriarch, and that means he might be available to reprise Shane.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Shane Donovan Mentions Recently On DOOL

There have been several Shane mentions recently on the show, and many times that means an absent character will be returning. The last time Shane was seen was when “Beyond Salem ll” was shown on Peacock, and his twin Drew Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) as well.

This was about the same time Charles took on the role once played on General Hospital by Thaao Penghlis, Victor Cassadine.

Rumor also has it that Charlotte Ross, who originally played Eve Donovan may reprise her role, since it looks like Steve Burton is staying as Harris Michaels.

Might the powers that be at DOOL be thinking of restoring more of the Donovan family after bringing on Andrew Donovan lV(Colton Little)?

DOOL Spoilers – Who Are The Donovan Family?

Newer viewers may want to know about the rest of the Donovan family-Shane is the sometimes retired, sometimes not head of the ISA (International Security Agency) and has a twin, Drew.

He is married to Kimberly Brady (Patsy Pease) who is between Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) and Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) in age; they have been married twice.

Kimberly is the mother of Andrew and Theresa Donovan (Jen Lilley) and stepmother of Eve, whose mother was Gabrielle Pascal (Karen Moncrieff); Kimberly is a psychiatrist, who recently worked with Harris.

Shane’s twin Drew is an evil twin; whereas Shane was with the good guys, Drew was with the bad-he once worked as a hit man for Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo).

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – When Could This Happen?

Nothing has been confirmed as to when or if DOOL viewers could see Shane again, although if it’s in the plans, it could be maybe sometime in the fall.

There have been several mentions and Shane’s not likely to be pleased with a brainwashed Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) impersonating him.
