Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) gave bad news about Sarah’s treatment in the hospital. Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) learned that the damage to Sarah’s long-term memory is quite extensive. This means that there is little hope of Sarah ever remember her identity, loved ones, or relationship with Xander.

Xander did get a shimmer of hope from Abigail. However, it requires Xander to turn to Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay). Gwen knows that it is just a matter of time before Xander gets Sarah to remember. When that happens, she will lose him forever.

DOOL Spoilers – Xander Cook’s Disgust

Xander is trying to toe the line with Gwen and Sarah carefully. However, Gwen makes it obvious that Xander shouldn’t help Sarah at all. This horrifies and disgusts Xander. Even though Xander is notoriously selfish, loving Sarah changed him for the better.

So, if Gwen were a decent human being, she would support Sarah’s recovery. Even if it meant possibly losing Xander, a decent person would still support Xander’s quest. However, Gwen isn’t a decent or normal person. Xander finally sees that the only person Gwen cares about is herself. This could finally open Xander’s eyes, and he just might dump Gwen.
