Even though some viewers think that Gwen has planned this pregnancy or it’s not real, the actress cleared things up. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, O’Brien said that becoming pregnant was not part of Gwen’s plan. In fact, it creates a huge problem for her and interferes with Gwen’s goal.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Gwen is a master at dealing with the unexpected. This is no different. Even though she didn’t want to become pregnant, she starts thinking about how this could be to her advantage. The actress told the magazine, “… she starts thinking that she can have the opportunity now to create her own family and, in turn, maybe won’t even need to have this family here. That’s when the notion comes to her and her wheels start turning to perhaps look at what life would be like if she were to keep the child. And it’s not to hurt Abigail; it’s for herself, to redeem herself and be the mother to this child that she, herself, never had in this life.”

DOOL Spoilers – Will She Follow Through?

Even though Gwen could use this child to give herself the family she never had, Jack won’t be out of the picture. Abigail probably won’t either. Despite it seeming impossible with this storyline, at some point the war has to end. They might never be friends, but they can’t keep fighting and trying to get revenge forever. However, Gwen being pregnant with Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) child certainly will complicate matters.
