Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that in Salem Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) approached Charlie Dale (Mike Manning). She tried to get him to admit his worst deeds, but he wouldn’t talk. He invited her to have a meal with him, but she declined. That rejection could have consequences. Head writer Ron Carlivati teases that Gwen becomes part of the damage that her scheme causes.

Approaching Charlie Dale

DOOL spoilers reveal that last week, Gwen walked into a restaurant and saw Charlie sitting there. She began talking to him, saying that she recognized him from somewhere. She knew his name and based on the questions she was asking, it’s clear Gwen knew what terrible things he had done. She seemed like she was trying to get him to admit to the worst things, but he wouldn’t talk about raping Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), letting his brother take the fall, or kidnapping and drugging his own mother.

Gwen isn’t going to waste her time on just chit chat with a guy that is clearly not her type. She was sizing him up, but why? One reason might be her considering using him in one of her schemes. Another possibility is that maybe she hates rapists and wanted to teach him a lesson.

Eventually, Charlie asked Gwen if she would like to join him for a meal. However, she declined his offer and left. He seemed even angrier than before Gwen arrived, which we have to assume is from her saying no to him.

Allie Horton Also Rejected Rapist

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that during Allie’s hypnosis, she told Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) asked her to dance, but so did Charlie. She turned Charlie down, then accepted Tripps’ second request for a dance. So, that seems to be what triggered him following ALlie home, getting rid of Tripp’s naote, and raping her. It was to punish Tripp for getting everything, including the girl. He also wanted to hurt Allie for rejecting him. So, Gwen’s rejection of Charlie’s meal invitation might have consequences.

Speaking to Soaps.com, Carlivati teased that Gwen ends up being affected by her own scheme. Not directly, but in an indirect and roundabout way. We have to wonder if her scheme targeting Charlie might come back to haunt her. Could that simple rejection of having a meal with Charlie compel him to rape again with the victim being Gwen? It certainly is possible. It might tie in with the spoiler that Gwen calls Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) for help when she gets herself in trouble. With the murder mystery coming up, we have to wonder if maybe Gwen kills Charlie in self-defense. We will have to keep watching to find out how everything connects and why it was so important for us to see Charlie and Gwen interacting.
