Gwen has done so many horrible things. There were a few times when writers tried to redeem Gwen. However, none of those have worked. So, it would have to be something massively huge.
Perhaps Gwen will leave Salem to punish the person responsible for her latest heartbreak… Megan Hathaway DiMera. If she had never pushed Dimitri to deceive Gwen, she wouldn’t be publicly humiliated or heartbroken.
Although Megan is a supervillain and Gwen is just a small-time manipulator, this could create an interesting story arc down the road. In the meantime, expect to see Gwen’s face on a different body. That’s right, there is word that O’Brien will play a new Theresa Donovan (Jen Lilley) in the near future.

Please tell me I have read the article wrong. Do not make Gwen take over Jen Lilleys role. Cast someone else if the original actress can’t come back. Gwen is obnoxious and I doubt the fans will take to her even as a new character. She is just plain unlikeable. She has done too much and hurt so much it would be very hard to forgot that looking at her, even as a new character.
