DOOL spoilers reveal that after playing Hope Williams Brady for nearly 40 years, actress Kristian Alfonso decided her time on the NBC soap was over. She walked off the set and went home. Then, COVID-19 shut down production for months. Right around the time that the soap announced it would start back up in September 2021, Alfonso let everyone know that she wasn’t coming back.

Even though Alfonso is no longer on the soap, her character still had a bit of a story. After being told that Ciara was dead, Hope left Salem to search for answers. She never picked up to actually speak with anyone. She would answer text messages, but they were only brief one-word answers.

DOOL Spoilers – Ciara Brady’s Amnesia

Even though Hope left Salem to search for the truth, someone else would find Ciara. That person was none other than reformed serial killer Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). Unfortunately, Ciara made a critical error when breaking off a pipe to try and shatter her glass cage. It was a gas pipe that Ciara broke. Even though she tried to escape, Ciara would end up inhaling the gas fumes. She would also still be in the room during a gas explosion. By the time Ben got there, Ciara was unconscious and unresponsive, but her heart was still beating.

Things would go from bad to worse for Ben, though. Ciara woke up and no memory of the past three years. That just happens to be Ben and Ciara’s entire relationship. Meanwhile, Hope was somewhere outside Salem looking for her “dead” daughter.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Ben does everything in his power to get Ciara to remember their love. However, nothing seems to jog her memory. What marks this even worse is that Ciara is familiar with Ben, but only as Salem’s serial killer. She is scared of her own husband. It seems the more Ben tries to help Ciara remember, the angrier she gets. Eventually, Ciara reconnects with her ex-boyfriend, Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson). Now they are going to leave Salem together, which leaves devastated.

DOOL Spoilers – Mother/Daughter Reunite

In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, it is confirmed that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gerin) is told that Hope is coming home. He can’t believe it but tries to be optimistic about having a future together. However, he recently kissed Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). To give her the hint that nothing more can happen between them — and to make sure Ava skedaddles before Hope arrives, Rafe needs to tell his guest what’s going on. Ava is basically told that Hope is coming back to town, it’s been fun, but it can never happen again.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Rafe Hernandez Heartbroken All Over Again

Soon, Rafe learns that Hope isn’t coming back to Salem. Instead, she skips Salem (and Rafe) and goes directly to South Africa. Hope has made arrangements to meet up with Ciara and Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson). It will mark the first time Hope and Ciara have seen each other since the car explosion that led to her being presumed dead. Meanwhile, Rafe is heartbroken over the news that Hope won’t be coming back home. Ava steps in and confronts him but could it lead to more?
