DOOL spoilers reveal that Rafe and Zoey are in the middle of a fierce custody battle. Zoey’s stance is that she is a blood relative of David’s. She is his aunt and wants custody of the boy based on genetics alone. Before she came to Salem, she had never even met the little boy. He doesn’t know her. He isn’t bonded with her. They don’t have that special connection.

Even though Rafe is not a blood relative, he is “daddy” to David. That is who has taken care of him, comforted him when he had nightmares, who bandaged up his scrapes when falling down. However, the way we see things isn’t always the way a court of law sees them.

Next week, Zoey will exit Salem, which means that David will be leaving too. However, did Zoey really want David because he was her nephew? We think it might be a little bit of all of these things.
