According to the September 14 issue of Soap Opera Digest, NBC chose Days of Our Lives to give them a new miniseries to draw viewers to its streaming service, which is an honor for the show that’s been on the air since 1965.

That breakfast that Paulina (Jackee Harry) planned for her, Lani (Sal Stowers), Eli (Lamon Archey), and Abe (James Reynolds), turns into a breakfast adventure in Miami where Paulina and Lani are from. Lani shows Eli around her home town and, of course, they find mystery and adventure.

Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) follow in Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) footsteps once again and now they end up in New Orleans, where Ciara’s parents first made love at the Oak Alley Plantation nearly four decades ago. It’s also where Bo and Hope took Ciara as a child and she can’t wait to show the city to her new husband. Of course, they run into someone who looks just like Princess Gina, but instead, it’s Billie Reed (Lisa Rinna) in disguise. What could she be up to?

Does it have anything to do with John’s (Drake Hogestyn) new assignment that Marlena (Deidre Hall) is joining him on — and where they will most certainly run into Tony (Thaao Penghlis) and Anna (Leann Hunley) there to support Carrie (Christie Clark) as she’s going through her problems with Austin. In Europe, our favorites turn to ISA agent, Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy).
