Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Is Rex Returning On Family Business?

It was been confirmed that Kyle Lowder will be reprising his role as Rex Brady on Days Of Our Lives! Buzz began about his potential return after an Instagram story appeared on the actor’s profile along with a caption that contained the teasing line “I’m in Burbank at a studio. I’ve been doing this a long time, but it’s been a minute! I’m excited.”

Soap Opera Digest substantiated rumors that the actor was in fact taping for Days citing an interview with by a spokesperson for the show. “It’s true! Rex is in Salem, we’ll just have to see what brought him back… next spring.”

With Rex not slated to make his way back home until sometime in 2025, fans are already speculating the answer to that question.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Rex Brady Finds Common Ground With Big Sis

The coincidence of another Brady sibling making a return to Salem in spring of 2025 cannot be ignored.

Only six days earlier, it was confirmed that Alison Sweeney would be reprising her role as Sami Brady, the role for which she was nominated for an Emmy and the recipient of countless Soap Opera Digest Awards.

Interestingly, Rex and Sami have never done much in the way of sibling bonding, despite their similarities. Both are one half of a fraternal twin set. Both spent a portion of their lives believing their parent to be someone who turned out not to be their actual parent.

Rex thought Marlena (Deidra Hall) and Tony (Thaao Penghlis) were his parents until he found out he was really the son of Roman and Kate.

For years, Sami (and everyone else) thought John (Drake Hogestyn) was Roman (then Wayne Northrup) so until the real Roman came back, she believed John as Roman was her father.

(Interesting side note, Andre was impersonating Tony at the time he was supposed to have fathered Rex so the siblings even have the impersonated father thing in common too!)

They both had a child they didn’t know about (Mimi kept baby Emily’s paternity a secret from Rex and Nicole stole Sydney from Sami, passing the baby off as her own). Yet with all they share in common, the two rarely even acknowledge that the are brother and sister.

But with their returns to Salem speculatively coinciding, could that all be about to change? We haven’t seen Rex since Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) confessed that Xander, not Rex, was baby Victoria’s real father.

With the jig of their sham relationship up, Rex returned to Chicago where as far as we know he’s been ever since. Or has he? Sarah made no attempts to hide the fact that she was using Rex to keep Xander from finding out about his daughter but Rex was genuinely in love with Sarah.

Calling off their wedding, whatever the circumstances around it may have been, must’ve dealt a pretty hurtful blow to the good doctor. And no one has more experience being a jilted lover than sister Sami!

DOOL Spoilers – Rex Brady Seeks Solace With Sister Sami Bady 

Could it be that Rex has been in Europe for some long-overdue bonding time with his big sister? Perhaps he is licking his wounds while seeking advice from the master at how to exact revenge on his ex-fiancee.

Let’s not forget, Sami isn’t too thrilled with the Hortons right now either, having left Salem herself after Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) kidnapped her and held her captive for months so he could play the hero and rescue her.

She’s probably more than happy to help her little brother reek a bit of havoc on the life of Lucas’s cousin.
