Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Jack Deveraux Scrambles To Keep Salem PD Running

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) will make a surprising move when he offers Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) the police commissioner position after firing Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso)!

Rafe will turn Jack down flat, probably knowing that Hope had just been fired and knowing that he has baby David Ridgway (the Ellis twins) to care for. Rafe in actuality would be able to care for David better having a desk job as opposed to being out there catching bad guys, but out of respect for Hope, which will be the biggest factor, he will turn the police commissioner job down. Besides, Hope had just put Rafe on suspension, although Jack obviously doesn’t know that!

With the department down at least one detective, since Lani Price (Sal Stowers) is taking care of David practically full time and Rafe, even if reinstated is still healing from the bullet wound, Hope will be demoted, although she will still be on the force; whether she will be a detective or not probably depends on how badly Eve Deveraux (Kassie DePaiva), who Jack installs as the new police commissioner wants to cut down Hope’s authority and pay grade!

Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) job still seems to be intact, and other Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Eli and Hope will question Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) later in the week, so that implies that Hope will still at least be a detective.

Days of Our Lives spoilers don’t indicate if Rafe will be reinstated to the force once Eve takes power, and that reinstatement could have been part of the commissioner job offer from Jack, or, as previously mentioned, unless Hope speaks up about Rafe’s suspension, he may just not have known.

On the other hand, it could be part of the plan that Eve fed Jack about the Salem Police Department to offer the job to Rafe, thinking he’d bungle everything worse than the kidnapping case! One thing Eve doesn’t want is a cop who’ll disobey orders and go rogue, even if he was on the right track!

      Since the writers seem to be rehashing old stories, here’s my ideas: Hope leaves the police force and goes back to being a P.I. (or working for John Black); Ben and Ciara marry, stay married and have a good, honest relationship (I know, unheard of in Salem); bring Stephanie back for at least a long visit; more Doug at Doug’s Place.

      I think that jack is just acting a lot , to take Eve down and the ones that are helping her . He doesn’t want any of his loved ones harmed . Just my opinion. I hope that is what it is .
