Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers state that the Hunter family will grow in Salem as actress Aketra Sevllian joins the cast. She’ll be playing Talia Hunter, Jada Hunter’s (Elia Cantu) younger sister. A newbie in the land of soaps, Sevillian does have some acting experience with stints on shows like The Sex Lives of College Girls and Grown-ish. In her DOOL role, Talia will have a medical degree, but she won’t be applying for a job at the hospital. Rather, she’ll be looking for work at the local bakery.

DOOL spoilers suggest that a mystery will unfold when Talia arrives in the little town. After all, she has a medical degree but is not exactly following in her father’s footsteps. Longtime Days fans may recall that her dad, Marcus Hunter (Richard Biggs) was one of the top doctors in Salem during his time. So why would Talia have a degree in medicine, but decide to work at Sweet Bits?

From the sounds of it, Jada won’t find out about Talia’s bakery gig right away. However, it’s likely she’ll eventually learn about Talia’s new job and be shocked and confused as to why her sister is snubbing a doctor’s life and choosing a career in icing sugar and cake batter.

Perhaps, this all could be linked to her family’s history. There’s been no talk of Jada’s mom, and no explanation for Marcus’s death since Jada’s arrival last summer. Could Talia’s arrival help answer some questions many fans have about the Hunter family?

Maybe his final wish was for her to enter (and finish) medical school, and she did so, out of obligation. Perhaps her hesitation around being a doctor is the fact that this is not her true passion and never has been. Then again, could Jada and Talia’s mother be toxic? Could the mom have deterred Talia from following a medical career, making her feel like she’s not “good enough”?
