Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Belle Brady (Martha Madison) has been framed for murder. There are two incriminating pieces of evidence. One is the red coat button found at the crime scene. The other is John Black (Drake Hogestyn) remembering seeing the back of the killer. However, there is reason to believe that someone was impersonating Belle on purpose.

DOOL spoilers reveal that Jan has always played games. Nothing is too far as she is concerned. She even started playing games the moment she allegedly woke up from her coma. She seemed a little too alert and coherent when she had just woken up from her five-month nap. Although in the real world faking a coma would be pretty much impossible, this is Salem and it’s a soap opera where the dead come back to life. So, faking a coma should be relatively easy, especially since Salem University Hospital doesn’t seem to have any security or cameras.

DOOL Spoilers – The Coat Button

Jan was the first person who mentioned to Belle that she was missing a button on her pretty red coat. Belle seemed genuinely confused and looked around the hospital room, thinking she had lost it there. It was strange for Jan to mention the button and as we previously speculated at the time, she probably is the one who took it.

Just remember how she brought it up out of the blue with that smirk on her face. She called Belle “Miss Perfect” and considering she just signed documents promising not to press charges against John, she should not have been smiling. She wasn’t happy about those documents at all. So, what was so amusing about the missing button?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers -Impersonating Belle Brady

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that John sees “his little girl” shooting Charlie. In the promo clip, John is horrified at how “his little girl” just “blew him away.” That is not Belle’s personality at all. She would be shaking, hesitant, or emotional if she had to shoot someone. However, Jan wouldn’t even blink while pulling the trigger.

So, it’s possible that Jan has been awake for weeks and only pretending to be in a coma. The hospital in Salem isn’t really known for its super-alert staff. Plus, nurses check on patients at timed intervals. All Jan would need is to make a note of the times the nurses come in and then she would know when it was safe to slip out. Most likely, it was in the middle of the night or wee hours of the morning so she wouldn’t be seen. That is around the time that the coroner places Charlie’s death. The latest he was killed is at 5 am.

So, if she swiped Belle’s coat, all she would need is a blonde wig to impersonate Belle. That would explain why John thought from the back, it was his daughter who pulled the trigger.

DOOL Spoilers – Only Character Who Is Temporary

Even though the whole town would be justified in killing Charlie, murder is still a crime. The person who is arrested will likely go to prison for a little while. So, with no regular cast members confirmed to be leaving, who is only on set temporarily? There is only one person that we can think of… Jan Spears.
