Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – All About Philip’s Shocking Return
While the daytime television world is certainly used to seeing a lot of people come and go (with plenty of ‘face swaps’ along the way), Jay says that his homecoming wasn’t exactly what you would call a nice homecoming. That’s because he began working three weeks prior to the coronavirus shut down back in March. Because of the ongoing pandemic, he and the rest of the Days of Our Lives cast and crew were forced to suspend filming. As of press time, Jay and the DOOL cast won’t be back on the set of the show to film new episodes again until September 1.
The good news is that Jay managed to film enough for fans to see him in action as early as this week. Philip resurfaces in Salem just as Victor is ready to reinstate Xander as CEO of Titan. Jay tells Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, “It starts a whole dynamic between Xander and Philip. There’s a pretty interesting tone to the whole thing because Philip isn’t showing his cards. He tries to persuade Victor to consider him for the CEO job. Philip thinks he is the right man for the job and deserving of the position, and he doesn’t want it to go outside the immediate family. He doesn’t want the company to end up in the wrong hands.”
DOOL Spoilers – Xander Kiriakis Out, Philip Kiriakis In
But with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) being Victor’s right-hand man throughout this entire time that Philip has been gone, it will be an uphill battle for him to convince his father that Xander is the one who needs to go and that he needs to be in his place. Needless to say, DOOL fans will have to tune in for all of the action!
