DOOL spoilers reveal that the world was heartbroken when it was reported that Bill Hayes passed away. The actor and the character he played touched lives on-screen and with viewers for decades.

Of course, the soap is going to have a tribute to Bill, but due to the soap’s advanced production schedule, that won’t air until later this year.

Recently, there have been reports of returning characters for Bill’s tribute. Gloria Loring is returning as Elizabeth “Liz” Chandler for the tribute.

Another big name that has been confirmed to come back for Bill’s tribute is Stephen Schnetzer (Steve Olson).

Now, it is reported in an exclusive interview with TV Insider that Jennifer Horton is coming back for Bill’s tribute as well. Instead of Cady playing the character, Melissa is reprising the role.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Melissa Reeves Explains Cady McClain Situation

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Melissa wanted to make it clear that she isn’t taking anything away from Cady. Melissa wanted to be sure that Cady was 100% okay with this and wasn’t being snubbed in any way.

Of course, being the professional that she is, Cady was not only okay with it, but was probably really supportive and encouraging. Now, that is women supporting women and we are all here for it!

“My one thing was [when Melissa got the call to return], ‘I’m not taking this away from Cady. If this is Cady’s thing and she loves being here and she really loves playing this part, I don’t want to take it away from her.

I’m so good either way. I’m a huge fan of Cady’s. I even Instagram messaged her, ‘Oh, my God, I’m so grateful you’re playing my part! I’m honored.’ But it worked out.”

As for when Bill’s tribute will air, Soap Opera Digest released this statement, “With Bill Hayes’ passing, the show is doing a special celebration for the life and memory of the character he portrayed for so many years.

Doug Williams’ funeral is giving us the opportunity to welcome some important and fan favorite, legacy characters back to Salem, including Gloria Loring, Stephen Schnetzer, and more. The episodes taping this week include Doug’s funeral and the historic 15,000th episode. They will not air until December 2024.”
