The devil tries to corrupt John’s soul. Meanwhile, people are starting to worry when John goes missing and Marlena has nothing but excuses for his absence.

DOOL spoilers reveal that John discovered that Marlena has indeed been possessed by the devil again. John tried to reach the real Marlena and swore that he wouldn’t let the devil win. John mentioned that he defeated the devil once before and he would do it again. Of course, Satan claims to have learned some new tricks over the years, then proceeded to knock out John.

It is teased that during November sweeps, John will be held hostage in the DiMera crypt. John won’t be able to get free due to Marlena chaining him up. However, the devil’s goal isn’t to just keep John hostage so he doesn’t try to save Marlena. The devil plans on having some sinister fun with John.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for November sweeps reveal that Soap Opera Digest confirms what to expect. During the upcoming month, it will be all about “the last temptation of John Black.” The devil tries to break John down and corrupt his soul. However, John has been through a lot over the years, including being drugged and held hostage. In fact, it happened not too long ago when Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) was “Steve-ano.”

DOOL Spoilers – ‘Jarlena’ Love Wins

Despite the devil trying to corrupt John’s soul, it doesn’t sound like evil wins. The first time that Marlena was possessed, John was able to defeat evil by using love. It sounds as if something similar will happen this time around. The magazine teased,

“Mardevil unleashed. John gets on to her pretty quickly, and she chains him up in the DiMera crypt. November is really like ‘The Last Temptation of John Black.’ The devil is trying to break him down and corrupt his soul and you’ll see exactly how the devil goes about that. It’s a great test of John and Marlena’s love, and it’s a great test o John in general with some great callbacks to the original story.”
