DOOL spoilers reveal that everyone is shocked when Belle doesn’t walk down the aisle at her wedding. Instead, it’s Jan Spears, (Heather Lindell) who has come up with another crazy scheme. In Jan’s mind, everyone is going to accept her as the woman marrying Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer). Worst case scenario, she’ll just kill anyone who fusses about it.

While Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) goes to find and rescue Belle, John tells Shawn to give Jan what she wants. Which is to be married, so Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) officiates the wedding. However, after Shawn and Jan are pronounced husband and wife, the sociopath notices that Brady is missing.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Jan tells everyone that Belle is already dead. At this point, John loses his temper and wraps his hands around Jan’s neck! He chokes her and Jan tries to get free, but John is simply too strong. It is teased that once Belle (Martha Madison) is found safe and sound, Jan will make her exit. Whether she runs off, is arrested, or goes back to the psychiatric hospital isn’t yet known.

Actress Heather Lindell talked to Soap Opera Digest about the storyline. She said that in Jan’s mind, she would have picked a different dress, different venue, and different guests. However, all that matters to Jan is that she is going to be Shawn’s wife after all this time. It’s a testament to how truly deluded Jan is.

“She’s very excited on her wedding day… This is the day she’s been waiting for forever, and in her mind, it’s all going well. Not exactly what she would have picked: It’s Belle’s wedding dress, it’s Belle’s mom’s place, she had other ideas for her wedding, but the most important thing is that she’s marrying Shawn. In Jan’s world, that’s all that matters.”
