Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that the Wesley family has seen quite a few changes in recent months, and youngest daughter Joy Wesley is furious that she was the last to know. Her parents moved back to Salem from New York. That’s where Joy’s sister Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) lives, so the relocation made sense in some ways. But Joy was unprepared for her parents’ sudden divorce. Joy knew that her dad Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) had been keeping secrets from her mom, but she had no idea the extent of the lies Craig had been living with.

Nancy, Craig, and Chloe would likely have agreed the situation was far too complicated to be explained over the phone. Chloe didn’t want to deceive her younger sister. Perhaps a discussion of the whole family spending the holidays together will convince Chloe that it’s better to keep Joy from getting her hopes up and that her parents have any chance of reconciling. Chloe will likely blurt out that Craig has decided to come out of the closet!

Joy has lived for many years under the same roof as her father. She will remember all the romantic moments that she witnessed between her parents over the years. When she hears that Craig almost married con man Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), she will decide that the only explanation is that Leo somehow brainwashed Craig. Joy knows that Salem is full of residents who have complete personalities implanted into their skull via a computer chip as well.

Joy will decide it’s up to her to bring Craig back to his old self. She will visit Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) and get a crash course in all of Rolf’s experiments! Rolf will take a liking to Joy and will oblige her by taking her under his wing. Joy will eventually realize Craig’s brain was not tampered with and she will have to come to terms with that. But her fascination and basic understanding of Rolf’s work will surprise both Joy and Rolf. Joy is brilliant and will likely convince the mad scientist to take her under his wing.
