She will blame her for Jennifer Deveraux’s (Cady McClain) addiction, even though Jennifer clearly didn’t blame Gwen, and she forgave Jen for running into her with her car.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – She Can’t Get Away With This

Julie knows if Gwen never showed up in town that Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and likely Laura Horton (Jaime Lyn Bauer) would still be alive, and Jennifer wouldn’t have relapsed. It’s a chain of events that Gwen’s arrival in Salem caused, and she can’t just get away with it, obviously she is to blame for all this. Even if she did turn out to be Jack Deveraux’s (Matthew Ashford) daughter by a mistress, the one thing she said that wasn’t a lie, and he still supports her.

Julie’s not saying that Jack didn’t have any blame back in the day, because his affair was a scandalous secret for years. But when she thinks about the results his mistake caused so many years later, she can’t help but blame Gwen for the fallout.

DOOL Spoilers – Part Of Her Grief

Blame is part of grief, and of course Julie is grieving Laura’s and Abigail’s deaths and Jennifer’s relapse and so she picks a scapegoat – Gwen. It’s not entirely consciously either, but she has to track the chain of events back somewhere, and Gwen is the logical target. Not only did Gwen ruin all their lives, she seduced Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and she needs to pay for that too. Gwen claims to be on the road to redemption and Jack believes her, but Julie never will because she needs someone to blame. She wishes the girl would go back where she came from and let them all grieve their loved ones in peace, not stay and be a constant reminder.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers -Proof Is Needed

For Julie to believe Gwen has changed, proof is needed and even if she gives it to her Julie is hard to convince. She’s never paid for her schemes and crimes while in Salem, and Julie doesn’t believe she ever will, even though Gwen claims she’s paid with her tears. In Julie’s world, a skunk can’t hide its stripes or its stink and Gwen is a skunk who needs to leave Salem and never return.

Jack can try to convince Julie to forgive Gwen all he wants, but the truth is, if Gwen hadn’t come to Salem his daughter would be alive, his wife with him. Chad wouldn’t be raising two children alone, and Jack’s scandalous secret would never have come to light.
