Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Kayla Files For Divorce! Will Steve Arrive Before She Can Go Through With It?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) isn’t going to remain in limbo much longer. Kayla has held out hope that her husband, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) would return to Salem, and to her but it’s been over a year and Steve still hasn’t returned. Steve was arrested for treason, but even after he was cleared, he stayed away. This was most likely because Kayla was partly responsible for Steve’s arrest. She secured a bionic eye to restore Steve’s sight, but unknown parties installed a camera in the eye, allowing them to see classified government documents that Steve had access to due to being an ISA agent.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – The longer Steve Johnson away – the less Kayla Johnson has hope

With Steve seemingly not able to forgive Kayla, she has been in limbo for quite awhile. She has her job at the hospital as Chief of Staff, but recent events there have taken a huge toll on her. She has been accused of malpractice because of the way Kate DiMera’s case was handled, even though it ultimately wasn’t her fault. Also, she basically had to allow Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay), who can be best described as a mad scientist, access to the hospital’s labs. Kayla could have used Steve’s support during these difficult times, and his absence may lead Kayla to finally take action.

DOOL Spoilers – Divorce?

Kayla won’t want to wait for Steve to decide if and when he wants to come back. It’s time that Kayla took some control back of her life. In order to do this, she will most likely file for divorce. But has Steve really stayed away willingly, or is there more to it? Could he be being held somewhere against his will? Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Steve will be back soon enough? But will it be too late to save his marriage? Does he even want to at this point?

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Steve Johnson will have some emotional reunions when he does return

Steve will definitely be excited to be reunited with Jack Devereaux (Matthew Ashford), who was presumed dead when Steve left Salem. And his sister, Adrienne Kiriakis, is also anxious to see her older brother. Both of those reunions should be full of joy, but Kayla and Steve’s reunion might not be a happy occasion for either of them. A divorce will most likely happen, and it’s anyone’s guess what the situation will be after the mysterious time jump that’s happening very soon.
