It is confirmed that Doug will struggle to communicate, so the devil has made sure that nobody finds out about his demonic plans. As more people in Salem start acting in strange ways, Kayla could assume that it’s a new bacteria, fungi or virus affecting the victim’s brains. It might just be temporary, but Kayla will still be concerned.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Tripp could help Kayla try to solve the infection mystery. However, at some point, he might remember Allie’s story about Marlena’s possession. Tripp might believe that they aren’t dealing with an infection, but a widespread possession. Tripp might try to tell Kayla his theory, but she could shoot him down.

Kayla is the chief of staff and will be concerned about treating what she is seeing and hearing. So, she could dismiss what she believes is a wild theory that can’t be proven by medicine or science.

Tripp could become so convinced that people are being possessed that he takes matters into his own hands. While Tripp might have good intentions, it could force Kayla to lay down the law.
