Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease Konstantin Meleounis’ (John Kapelos) past has come back to haunt him, in a very frightening way.

Something about John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) eyes brought back an apparently traumatic memory-did he encounter Stefano DiMera (Joe Mascolo) and tangle with the Pawn?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Konstantin Meleounis All Shook Up

After John and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) left off warning Konstantin to leave town and leave Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) alone-he was all shook up.

He refused to do what they wanted but afterwards he started talking to himself about John’s eyes, and had a distant memory of someone he appeared to be very frightened of.

Konstantin than asked himself out loud-could it be HIM? He empathized the word “him” and his own eyes filled with fear.

Konstantin appeared to almost have a post-traumatic stress disorder flashback he was so shook up. There must be a reason and a traumatic encounter between Konstantin and John in the past.

DOOL Spoilers – The Pawn Was Stefano DiMera’s Brainwashed Assassin

John, who came to Salem as an amnesiac who took the name “John Black” off a Vietnam Veterans’ memorial, was previously Stefano’s brainwashed assassin.

It was years of searching his true identity before he encountered Timothy Robicheaux (Dick Van Dyke) and that was by pure coincidence, searching for Timothy’s identity.

Through him, he found out Yo Ling aka Joseph Bell (Tobin Bell) switched dog tags with him in a foxhole and the real Timothy is his father.

The Pawn, when he was brainwashed by Stefano, put fear into many of Stefano’s enemies, and Konstantin may have been one of them in his younger years.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Victor Kiriakis And Stefano DiMera Were Arch Enemies

Back in the day, Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) and Stefano were arch enemies, and Konstantin claims to be a childhood friend of Victor’s.

Stefano could have sent the Pawn after anyone associated with Victor back then, and so this makes perfect sense; it also makes perfect sense John wouldn’t recognize Konstantin, having been brainwashed.

John’s face was bandaged up when he first appeared, being assumed to be Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) so Konstantin wouldn’t recognize his face, but his eyes would be the same.

There is a very good possibility that John, as the Pawn, and Konstantin tangled in the past and left Konstantin with that deathly fear of John’s intimidating “Pawn stare”.

As John and Steve dig further into Konstantin’s past, John’s own past may also be brought into question!
