After all these years, Xander (Paul Telfer) finally got Nicole (Arianne Zucker) to sleep with him and felt like he accomplished a goal set out before Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) was ever in his life.

After all, he was attracted to her from the moment he arrived in town and the pair were husband and wife — albeit platonically. When he found out she had been playing him back in 2015 he was so outraged that he locked her and Eric (Greg Vaughan) in a heating duct and Nicole nearly died. However, one conquest doesn’t fix everything and he needs some cash fast. Chanel and her mother’s millions didn’t work out so Xander needs a plan B.

That’s where Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) comes in. She shows up looking like Kate (Lauren Koslow) but soon reveals herself as Kristen. Since Xander was her accomplice in the original Nicole mask story, none of this is shocking to him at all. (But he still has no idea that was Kristen in a Sarah mask breaking off their engagement. That might be his breaking point when he finally learns the truth.)

Kristen has done a complete 180 from loving mother and Lani’s (Sal Stowers) best friend at a convent back to the complete and total she’s been since the 1990s and she needs two people dead — namely Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo). So, she asks Xander to kill them and he’s happy to oblige. After all, he really needs the money and it’s not like he wasn’t a hardened criminal until Sarah came into his life.

DOOL Spoilers  – Sami Brady Drives A Hard Bargain

Xander doesn’t really care how he gets money so when he shows up in the DiMera tunnels to do Kristen’s dirty work, he is willing to listen to Sami when she offers him even more money if he offs Kristen.
