In the Days of Our Lives fall preview, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) arrives in Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) lab smiling and holding the orchid.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – There Was No Antidote

Rolf was horrified when Orpheus came to him in his secret lab and announced that he had already stolen and used a deadly serum Rolf had locked in a metal cabinet. It was one of those projects for which Rolf had not created an antidote, and now he didn’t even have the serum to work from to create one. Rolf was sure to be angry that one of the women Orpheus poisoned was Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) who was his master Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) obsession.

By the time the orchid is procured, Marlena is near death and can’t breathe, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) is losing strength, and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) is knocking on heaven’s door. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is at Salem University Hospital demanding the orchid that was discovered to be an antidote for the rare toxin.

DOOL Spoilers – Kristen DiMera Likely Has An Agenda

Kristen is likely not working to find that rare orchid that may potentially save Kate, Kayla, and Marlena’s lives out of the goodness of her heart. Not now that Rolf successfully resurrected Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), erased his love for Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and pumped up his memories of Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). Now Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) is available and Marlena is his stepmother and the only mother he’s ever known. Of course Kristen wants to make a grand gesture and obtain the orchid that could save Marlena’s life. That’s why she’s smiling so much when she presents the one living orchid of the species to Rolf in his lab.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – A Rush To Create The Antidote

Now the rush is on to create the antidote from the orchid, and Rolf only has one chance. Perhaps he should save at least one twig from which more can be propagated, if it doesn’t take the whole plant, or try to clone it. But of utmost importance is that first vial of antidote, and it has to be enough for three doses; there is no time to do testing first.

Rolf manages to create the one small bottle of antidote and hopes it’s enough to go around. Kayla just died, Marlena’s in a coma and Kate’s rapidly going downhill.
