Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) returns for her father’s memorial service, but she has doubts he’s really dead. It’s also her and Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) anniversary and she’s on furlough arranged by him-she looks the evidence file and for closure and doesn’t get it.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Lani Grant Doubts The Evidence
Lani didn’t expect to use her detective skills but when she gets a look at the evidence file, since Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) body wasn’t found she finds some holes.
No one, including Eli and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) had any doubts even though no body was recovered. Lani has to prove for herself that Abe is really dead, partly because the evidence isn’t adding up, and partly for her own closure.
Eli just wants Lani to trust the Salem Police Department but that’s not going to convince Lani. She has to prove for herself that Abe is really dead, and the evidence presented isn’t doing it.

DOOL Spoilers – All That Blood On The Pilon And None In The Water?
One thing that may disturb Lani when she sees all that blood on the pilon, is Eli saw no blood in the water, although he dove in to look anyway. A hospital patient wouldn’t have a syringe with him as was found nearby and the hospital bracelet just seemed too obvious and circumstantial as well as inconclusive.
If, as the witness claimed, Abe fell and hit his head on the pilon and lost all that blood there would have been blood in the water. Plus, the photograph of the pilon looked like the blood was painted on the top and if someone cracked their head open it would have ran down the sides as well. But what really piques Lani’s interest is the photo of the witness in the file.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Lani Grant Recognizes Jerry Prentiss
Lani recognizes Jerry Prentiss and tells Eli he’s an actor, she has seen him on tv-he’s still working and is a paid actor. Even Eli can’t ignore that and it’s concerning, as well as it being weird-what is this actor doing on the docks in Salem and there when Abe stumbles and falls in?

The assumption is that perhaps someone was holding Abe captive and he had escaped, in his hospital gown all along-maybe they’d struggled over the syringe, and it was a weapon?
Lani senses something’s not right and has her doubts that Abe is even dead-someone wants them to think so. Eli starts to agree and later, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) do as well and the team searches for a living Abe.
