Lani Grant Killed Her Biological Father

Lani was an adult when she learned that Abe Carver (James Reynolds) was not her biological father. Lani also learned that her father was far worse than she had ever thought he could be.

Terrell “T.R.” Coates aka “Ray” (William Christian) came to Salem claiming to be a changed man and wanting to build a relationship with Lani.

Ray was being abusive to Paulina when Lani, who witnessed part of the attack, shot and killed him. Pauline originally tries to take the blame but the truth came out and Lani went to prison for his death.

Lani was later released on parole and is about to be released soon. However, something drastic needs to happen for Lani to ever be in law enforcement again.

Lani Grant Saves Holly Jonas

Recently, Lani was in the right place at the right time and saved Holly from being mugged. Holly was wearing a necklace that was given to her grandmother by her father, Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian).

Lani may be a hero, but she doesn’t want public recognition for her heroic actions. Lani recently turned down an opportunity to be on the Spectator’s first podcast.
