He regrets his behavior and tries to make amends. At the same time, don’t expect Jack to be exactly like his former self. But he also won’t be a completely new person, either. Ashford confirmed that there will be bits of “classic Jack” along with some aspects of his new personality.

Ashford could only say one thing about Jack’s daughter. The character’s decision during the major catastrophe could affect their father/daughter relationship. If he ends up saving Salem, it could make Abigail view Jack not as a stranger, but as the hero she used to adore.
