When it comes to the role of Marcus Hunter, his original portrayer sadly passed away in 2004, so if the character returns, he would be played by someone else.

But that doesn’t mean Hunter can’t return. Perhaps there was a reason he faked his own death. The show could write in plastic surgery to explain why he doesn’t “look” the same, or simply recast another actor and provide no explanation. Regardless, Marcus very well could be the person Talia is working with.

Why would Marcus be behind so much drama in the little town? Maybe it’s for a good reason. After all, there seem to be questions about whom Talia is targeting. On the one hand, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) are suffering the repercussions of Ms. Hunter’s actions; however, with everyone blaming Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) for these incidents, she’s also dealing with her fair share of drama.

Perhaps, Marcus was once in a romantic relationship with Ms. Price (after he faked his death and changed his identity). Maybe she fluffed him aside to be with Chanel’s dad or screwed him over on a business deal? Then again, Sloan has been on a crusade to avenge her mom’s death. Maybe Mr. Hunter was involved with Ms. Petersen’s mother? Perhaps she shuffled him aside before her passing?
