Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of October 18 reveal that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) learns that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) is possessed. John will probably use the power of love along with an exorcism, just like before. However, John’s efforts could fail. If God and the power of love aren’t enough, then how will Marlena be saved?

DOOL spoilers reveal that fans are wondering why John hasn’t noticed Marlena’s strange behavior. It is confirmed that John isn’t blind, ignorant or dumb. John has noticed that something is wrong with his wife. Marlena isn’t acting like herself, is using phrases that she’s never spoken before and of course, there was Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) allegation.

Plus, Marlena had quite the reaction when John had his priest collar out of its box, as well as a Bible and old newspaper clippings about Marlena’s possession. There was also John knowing he’s heard Marlena talking to someone, who he can only identify as a man.

Despite John suspecting that Marlena might be possessed again, he needs to be sure.

DOOL Spoilers – Possession Revelation

During the week of October 18, John will know for sure that the devil is trying to possess Marlena. Right now, Satan goes in and out of Marlena’s body. The next step is for Lucifer to completely take over Marlena’s body, mind and soul.

The devil tries to fully possess Marlena when she’s trying to get some rest. While Marlena will be sleeping, the devil is wide awake inside of her. Sata levitates Marlena’s body and starts to Inhabit the psychiatrist’s body.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Exorcism and Power of Love Fail?

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that John has mentioned how Marlena was saved from demonic possession 27 years earlier. While John believed he was a priest, he used an exorcism to try and get rid of the devil. Back then, it took several months before anyone realized that Marlena was under the devil’s influence. Using exorcism and the power of his love for Marlena, the good doctor was saved.

However the demonic possession is trickier this time. It is speculated that John’s attempt to exorcise Satan could fail, even if John uses the power of their love. Plus, it is implied that the possession story continues through Christmas, so the situation isn’t going to be resolved yet.

DOOL Spoilers – Saving Marlena Evans

If John’s love and an exorcism can’t save Marlena this time, then is she doomed? Not exactly – John will simply have to find a remedy more powerful that his love for Marlena. Strength come in numbers, including praying to God and asking for His divine intervention.

So, John could end up saving Marlena by doing another exorcism, but might need an army of prayer warriors to be successful. This means that it can’t just be John’s word that Marlena is possessed. To get a group of people all praying together as John performs an exorcism, they will need to believe that “MarDevil” is back. That won’t happen right away, but when people start seeing the possession for themselves, they will become instant believers.

In fact, it could be the real reason why Marlena is invited to the annual Horton Christmas event for the first time. Julie Williams’ (Susan Seaforth-Hayes) might not be inviving Marlena over for the Christmas festivities, but to pray for her soul as one more attempt is made to expel Satan from the good doctor. Will it actually work or could Marlena be doomed?
