Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Marlena And Sonny Receive Shocking News About Will

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) will anxiously away news about Will Horton (Chandler Massey) as he undergoes his brain tumor biopsy this week on Days of Our Lives.

The diagnosis is a shock, and a huge coincidence since Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) had just put a “mati” or a Greek evil eye curse on Will, shortly after signing the annulment papers freeing Sonny to be with Will legally again.

At first when Sonny found Will passed out on the floor, they thought it was the evil eye curse and Sonny put a good luck charm on a chain, but when they got to the hospital and Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) did some blood work and imaging tests, an inoperable mass was found in one of Will’s frontal lobes in his brain. The first step is to find out if it is cancerous or benign so a biopsy has to be done of it.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Is Will’s Tumor Cancerous?

Days of Our Lives viewers may wonder, if the tumor appears to be inoperable, how the biopsy is able to be done; it will likely be performed via what is called a fine needle aspiration. A tiny hole will need to be drilled into Will’s skull, into which a fine needle will be threaded, and microscopic cells will be aspirated, or pulled, into the needle under imaging of some sort to guide the needle to the right place.

It would be the same type of procedure as a thyroid biopsy although they may use a stronger form of ultrasound imaging. Some type of contrast dye may be used as well. Doppler ultrasound is much more precise than the ultrasound used on pregnant mothers, and that is probably what would be used.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Will’s Parents Return For Diagnosis?

Other Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Will could get worse before he gets better, or a diagnosis serious enough to bring his dad Lucas Horton (Bryan Datillo) back to town may happen, since Bryan Datillo is set to return in May.

Previously, Alison Sweeney, who plays Sami Brady, Will’s mother posted an Instagram of herself at the Days of Our Lives studio on November 27th, and although she didn’t mention why she was there, it was thought it would be for a memorial service taping for Caroline Brady, since her portrayer, Peggy McCay had passed away. If she taped something that means it would show in April or May; so it could also be connected to Will’s illness.
