DOOL spoilers for the week of December 21 reveal that everyone will be getting ready for the holidays. Marlena has only one wish for Christmas and shares it with her husband. However, he’s not sure if he can do what she is asking. It’s nothing expensive or rare. But it will require that John swallow his pride.

Marlena has always been the type of person who thinks of others. In her mind, she has everything that she could ever want. A husband who is crazy about her, family members that are safe and healthy, as well as some really good friends. John will ask her what she would like for Christmas. She gives him a surprising answer and it has to do with Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols). She begs John to reach out to Steve, so they can mend their fractured friendship.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that John and Steve have been good friends for many years. They have both been through so much, but Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) rape changed everything. She identified Steve’s son as the man who assaulted her. For a while, it looked like Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) might be guilty. John even stormed over to Steve’s house and punched Tripp in the face. It caused a lot of tension in Steve and John’s friendship.

DOOL Spoilers – A Happy Ending

If Marlena is asking John to make amends, then they must know that Tripp is innocent. Even if Tripp is cleared, Marlena’s request will still make John uncomfortable. At the time of the rape allegation, John was having side effects from an aneurism.

He regrets a lot of the things he said to Steve, as well as getting violent with Tripp. No man wants to admit when they are wrong, but in order to get the friendship back, someone has to make the first move.
