When Kayla tells Marlena that Whitley just resigned to her suddenly and mentions she’d been a campaign worker for Abe, something clicks in Marlena’s mind. It’s been at least ten years ago or more, but she remembers Whitley was a patient, and she was doing grief counseling.

Whitley’s husband had suddenly died and it was very sudden; Whitley went off the deep end and couldn’t cope with her loss, and she remembers Whitley showed her a photo.

Marlena remembers that Whitley’s late husband strongly resembled a much younger Abe. Marlena and Kayla quickly put two and two together and realize that Whitley must have taken Abe and has had him all along.

According to DOOL spoilers, Marlena makes a call to John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and he will tell Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and pool information with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Jada Hunter (Elia Hunter).

Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) has gone missing and Rafe has to get her back to prison or she’ll be considered a fugitive and now it seems Whitley might have her.

Steve and John had been looking for Jerry Prentiss (Terrell Ransom, Jr.) and maybe Whitley has him, too, they had thought maybe he had Lani.

Now it looks like Whitley not only has Abe, she may have Lani and Jerry, their having fallen into a trap; Marlena tells them Whitley lost touch with reality before. She had to be committed to Bayview for many months before she regained her sanity.

All are worried about the still missing, but no longer presumed dead Abe and the missing Lani. Marlena’s psychiatric information on her former patient only lends credence to the theory that a deranged Whitley King could have kidnapped Abe, and paid Jerry to fake his death. Lani may be prisoner as well as Jerry or Whitley could have done even worse.

Time is of the essence to get to Whitley’s apartment and find out what or who is in there. Whitley claims she’s moving to Scottsdale where she had family but Steve and John’s investigation proves that a lie.
