It’s been quite a while since the devil took over Marlena’s body. Unfortunately, a lot of damage has been done. Marlena’s friends, family, and even innocent acquaintances have paid the price for Marlena’s possession. Marlena will end up being saved thanks to John Black (Drake Hogestyn), Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), and her entire family coming together.

After the exorcism, Marlena is admitted to the hospital. Once she is released, Marlena tries to cope with everything that was done by “MarDevil.” Some of the acts she will remember, but much of it she won’t.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – One Possession Too Many?

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that head writer Ron Carlivati told Soap Opera Digest what fans can expect with Marlena in 2022.

“After the exorcism, everyone is thrilled to have Marlena back to normal, but people aren’t just going to forget about that so easily. So even though Marlena is filled with remorse, some of the memories of the things she’s done are very hazy. So she goes on her apology tour and may have to account for some of the things she did.”

Even though many people will forgive Marlena and some might try to understand she wasn’t in control, there are others who won’t be able to do that. There are likely going to be some Salemites who will never forget nor forgive the things that Marlena did while possessed by the devil. There even might be a few people who will think one possession can be excused, but two? The devil might have truly done some irrevocable damage to some of Marlena’s relationships.

Marlena might have to deal with some people who can’t forgive her right now. However, the one individual that will have the hardest time will be Marlena. How can she forgive herself and will she find a way to move forward?
