Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) needs surgery. The woman is currently in the hospital for an infection, and the antibiotics aren’t working very well. The doctors need to implant a temporary pacemaker. However, could Doc end up briefly dying on the table, only to get an important message from John Black (Drake Hogestyn). Marlena Evans’ Hospitalization

Fans know that shortly after John’s death, Marlena began having disturbing Queen of the Night dreams. Doc also started to collapse and have strange symptoms. All the tests came back negative, that is until recently.

It took Sarah Horton Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) noticing a rash on Marlena’s wrist. That clued Sarah in that Marlena’s previous lyme test might have been a false negative.

Kayla Johnson’s Heart Concerns

While they have her on IV antibiotics now, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) realized Marlena’s heart was having trouble. After speaking with the cardiologist, Kayla told Marlena that she needed surgery.

Pacemaker Surgery

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that the IV antibiotics are not working as well as they should be. So, they need to implant a temporary pacemaker into Marlena’s body.

Belle Black (Martha Madison) was totally freaking out, but Marlena kept assuring her daughter the surgery would be fine.

Marlena is handling this whole medical situation really well. However, she is also right that at least her condition is treatable.

John Black’s Urgent Message?

Kayla said that Marlena needs the surgery as soon as possible. While everything thinks this is routine and there aren’t too many risks, Marlena could have a medical crisis on the operating table.

What are the chances that something happens and Marlena dies on the table? Of course, they would bring her back, but Marlena could go to the Other Side in the few minutes that she is “dead.”

In that time, could Marlena get a visit from John? It’s not Marlena’s time yet, but John could have an urgent message for her.

Maybe the infection and the Queen of the Night dreams are connected? Or, Marlena’s dreams could be warning her that Stefano DiMera (last played by Joseph Mascolo) could be back.

It seems the dreams and Marlena’s symptoms happened after John’s death. A lot of people assumed it was grief, but what if John has been trying to reach her ever since?
