The new podcast is called While We Were Waiting and highlights the stories from the service industry told by some of the coolest pros. The episodes are usually made available on a number of platforms including; Google Play, Stitcher, Spotify, and iTunes.
The stories are from the restaurant business as Madison and Gilbert are restaurateurs who share their stories of what it is really like to work in hospitality. So far, there are 2 episodes, the latest of which has Martha and AJ talking about their quarantine routine. The couple also discusses “essential” doggy daycare and Trump’s statement which says, “It may not be the same restaurant….or ownership, but they’ll all be back.”
With guest chef/operator/recruiter, “Buffy Summers”. They also talk about their favorite celebrity guest stories and what it means to restaurants when high profile celebrities come in to dine there. Madison and Gilbert got engaged in July 2006. They got engaged in fine style when he took her to the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego for her birthday. They later got married on August 25, 2007. The couple has one child, Charley Elizabeth Gilbert born in November 2013. Gilbert is the owner of Luna Park in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles.
Madison is a native of Newport News, Virginia and was raised in Houston, Texas. She was involved in a number of things including music and dance until acting and now the restaurant business.
Madison captured the hearts of Days of Our Lives viewers with her portrayal of Belle Black, a role previously played by Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones, General Hospital). She became a household name as she was involved in some important storylines that addressed the lives of the younger generation.
She also briefly stepped in a temporary fill for Rebecca Herbst as Elizabeth Webber on GH and also played Lola on Passions. Madison earned her first Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2019 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
