Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Melinda Could Get Back In The Salem Mayoral Race And Win

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Salem residents have a big choice ahead of them when it comes to selecting their next mayor. The incumbent, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), was publicly humiliated at the last mayoral debate when Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) accused him of having an inappropriate relationship with his assistant, Sheila Watkins (Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins).

As DOOL viewers know, Abe tried to deny the allegation, but then Jack and Eve Deveraux (Kassie DePaiva) splashed a photo of Abe and Sheila kissing on the big screen for all to see.

Of course, there was a perfectly reasonable explanation for the photo, but at that point the damage was done. The whole thing left many of Abe’s supporters disillusioned with him and caused great outrage.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – JJ Deveraux Continued The Humiliation

But that wasn’t the end of the public humiliation. As soon as the debate ended, JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss), upset with his father, decided to remind voters and the assembled press about Jack’s history of sexual assault from years ago. DOOL viewers will remember that Jack raped Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) back in the 1980s.

The whole situation has probably left many Salem voters scratching their heads about whom to vote for. Since both candidates are now embroiled in scandal and horrible allegations, what will voters do?

Well, Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that voters might actually wind up with a third option – Melinda Trask (Laura Kai Chen). DOOL viewers know that Melinda was once a formidable candidate in the race, before Jack and Eve dredged up the fact that her sister, Haley Chen (Thia Megia) was an undocumented immigrant. But could Melinda make a big comeback?

It certainly seems like she might. Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Melinda will pull a fast one on election day, and that there will be a surprising winner of the race.

She might be able to make a last-minute appeal to voters to vote for a third candidate. Melinda’s name might still be on the ballot, or she could drive a write-in campaign and win big.
