Italian Search

Let’s kick off this post with the team in Italy. Belle and Chad finally figured out a major clue in the chess set mystery. When reservations were made for them at a certain restaurant, the street name was a clue. 

That leads them to Dominic Marino’s home in Italy. The couple searches the place, but they don’t realize they are being watched.

Dante Vitali Debuts

Over in Monte Carlo, Dante Vitali (Franco Lo Presti) makes his first appearance. The man is Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) fiance and Sydney DiMera’s (Sydney Makelah) soon-to-be stepfather. It seems that Dante and Sydney have a deal when it comes to the poker games.

Sydney DiMera’s Poker Game

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Monday, September 14 reveal that fans just met Sydney. We will see the young woman again with Dante. In fact, Dante, Sydney, and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) face off at the poker table.

Philip and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) sold their fake engagement story to Sydney. However, Philip and Gabi also informed Sdyney that they were trying to save the Kiriakis legacy

I have a weird feeling that Sydney might help them with that, even if Philip loses.

I also found it quite interesting that Sydney and Philip do the same before-game routines. In any case, I wonder when EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is going to find out about his daughter’s extracurricular activities?

What Else to Expect

Back in Salem, Marlena meets with Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). The psychiatrist will admit that she fears the chess set could be Pandora’s Box. It’s a bit too late to warn Belle, though.

After all, Belle and Chad are already in Italy. Besides, once Belle gets fixated on something, she usually can’t let it go.

With Belle and Chad following the leads, are they falling into a trap? Just who is the mysterious man with Stefano DiMera’s (last played by Joseph Mascolo) iconic ring?

I have a weird feeling that this man might be more like Stefano than any of the heirs currently on screen.
