However, those three months have turned into nearly a year away because he keeps signing on for more excursions. Not only that but “Ericole” haven’t seen each other since he left. Every single time they make plans to reunite, something happens to prevent it from happening.

When Eric told Nicole he had signed on for yet another three months, she was furious. She got drunk and ended up sleeping with Xander. Not only would Xander love to boast about that night to Eric, but Sami refuses to let it go.

During the week of June 7, Nicole will confide in Abe about what she’s done. Nicole and Abe have a special friendship. She feels close to the mayor and has no problem admitting her faults and mistakes to him. It wasn’t that long ago that Nicole told Abe about another betrayal. He is never judgmental and also gives sound advice without coming off as preachy.

When Nicole tells Abe that she cheated on Eric, he will probably encourage her to confess the truth. No marriage can survive if it is built on lies. Plus, the outcome will be a lot worse if Eric finds out from someone else.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Nicole probably decides that confessing the truth is the best way to go. However, the summer promo shows Eric returning to Salem. “Ericole” enjoy some bedroom time together. Then, Nicole thinks about her betrayal and she can’t hide the guilt she feels. Eric knows that something is wrong and pleads with her to tell him what’s going on. However, she will probably chicken out of confessing and make up a vague excuse about what’s troubling her.

Nicole has betrayed her lovers before and this includes the previous times she was involved with Eric. She should know by now that if she doesn’t tell the truth, it will come out some other way. Either someone will tell Eric about the one-night stand or he’ll find out another way.

We know that Nicole and Sami will battle each other and it will be a race to see who gets exposed first. Plus, there is the problem of Xander. If he doesn’t get the job at Basic Black, then he could brag to Eric about his night with Nicole. So, the cards are stacked against her. One thing is for sure, the marriage is doomed.
