DOOL spoilers reveal Dr. Daniel Jonas is returning to the NBC soap opera. Before you get too excited, the character is not coming back from the dead. Even though many dead Salemites pop back up due to Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (William Utay) resurrection injection, that is not happening with Daniel.

Christian will reprise the role of Dr. Jonas on April 1, 2020. His return will be part of the April Fool’s Day special. Details are being kept under wraps, but we do know that Daniel knocks on Nicole’s door and her jaw drops when she faces her past… literally.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Nicole has been visited by Daniel before. As fans recall, he tragically died when he was in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. That driver happened to be his best friend, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan). The former priest went through some major drama. Struggling to cope, he turned to the bottle. The night he killed Daniel would come with serious consequences as he was sentenced to prison.

It’s ironic that the man Nicole loved was killed by the person she now plans on marrying. Will it be a “fun” episode since it’s April Fool’s Day? Or could Daniel have a special message for Nicole?

DOOL Spoilers – April Fool’s Day Special

Throughout the year, the writers pen “special episodes” during certain holidays. They typically received mixed reviews from viewers. Some love them and think they are fun, giving fans something different and more fun to watch. However, others don’t care for them and feel they are “silly.: Sometimes they can even confuse fans over what “really” happened in Salem and what was just written for that special episode.

Most remember scenes from the 2019 Halloween special. The soap brought back Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) and Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Hartley). The two psychiatric patients caused some serious Salem mayhem, but of course, none of it “really” happened.

As previously reported, fans should expect another former character to pop back into Salem for the April Fool’s Day special. Greg Rikaart will reprise the role of Leo Stark. It is teased that he will have an interesting offer for Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith).
