Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease when John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) fate is known, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will be minus a partner. Will a new generation continue Black Patch, taking up the torch with Steve?
The Show Is Starting To Show The Necessary Exit Of John Black Storyline
The show is starting the necessary exit of John Black, because of the real-life death of Drake Hogestyn. Since the show is now on a nine-month ahead of airdate taping schedule, what viewers are seeing now was partially filmed when Drake was still alive, and he approved the exit storyline.
We know it will be revealed that John died a hero, but the search for him is just beginning-with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) admitting to Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) John is missing.
John is said to be on a deep cover mission, but not even Steve could get any information, not even from Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy). What is so unusual about this is that Steve was not told about this mission, nor was he told to go on it with John.
A Search And Rescue Mission Will Commence-Which Will Wind Up A Recovery Mission
A search and rescue mission will soon commence, which of course will wind up a recovery mission to bring John home for a proper burial-which likely will be closed casket.
It will not be surprising if Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) and Andrew Donovan (Colton Little) go with Steve to find John-which will take some doing. Most certainly whoever sent John on this mission will be involved as well-of course, there could be a situation where he was sent into a trap.
Could someone like Shane’s evil twin Drew Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) have been in cahoots with someone like Orpheus, (George del Hoyo) John’s worst enemy? Could Drew be impersonating Shane again, and Shane need rescuing as well-in Salem, you just never know!
Black Patch-New Generation Taking Up The Torch With Steve?
Once John’s disappearance is resolved and the funeral is set, might Paul and Andrew take his place in Black Patch? Another new member to consider might be Hank Northrop, his character as yet unnamed-however, he does have certain facial features that remind one of Drake.
That’s not too surprising, given his late father Wayne Northrop played the original Roman Brady, and John Black was thought to be Roman until the real Roman returned.
It’s possible the show may decide to give John another son no one knew about, similarly to Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) and his story of being Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) grandson. Hank’s character may also be a member of the next generation Black Patch team, following in John’s footsteps.
