Paulina doesn’t tell anyone about her reward offer. Theo and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) come across the information. Now, it’s hard to determine what Paulina’s true motivation is for offering the reward. Part of it very well be to help bring Theo’s bride home safely. After all, a financial incentive does get results when it comes to criminal cases. Plus, the more attention that is brought to Ciara’s kidnapping, the better chance the police have of finding her.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Paulina might have other reasons to offer the reward. She needs redemption as there are still a lot of people angry at her.

Then, there is her business mind. Paulina might view this as a way to get her name out in the public eye in a positive way. Her reputation took a hit in Salem when everyone found out about her Horton Town Square stunt. So, this could be her using Ciara’s kidnapping as a way to get PR for herself.

Lani finds out about Paulina’s reward, most likely from Abe and Theo. Instead of just letting Paulina do her part and hoping it helps, Lani explodes. She confronts Paulina and could refuse her help. She probably claims that they don’t want her dirty money, but Theo doesn’t say anything like that. Lani is speaking for him and is trying to control everyone around her.

It’s understandable that she ripped up the twins’ blank check for college tuition. Her still being angry is understandable. Heck, even her making a snide comment about Paulina’s intentions for the reward would be understandable. However, if there is a chance that the reward could help find a kidnapping victim, then she needs to leave it alone. The focus of everyone’s attention should be on helping Theo through this, not on Lani making it all about herself.

Fans know that Ciara isn’t in any danger, but remember, Theo and Paulina don’t know Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). So, they are truly horrified about the abduction and fear that something terrible could happen to Ciara. Plus, all crimes must be reported and investigated, so even if some officers are Team ‘CIN’, they still have to do their job. So, we will have to keep watching the NBC soap to see how this story ends.
