Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) will urge his stubborn son Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) to fight for Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). Eric cut ties with Nicole irrevocably when she influenced Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) to abort his baby, and he may not be able to swallow his pride.

Roman can’t help but notice Eric has been on a downward spiral in recent months, and the recent death of his mother Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) didn’t help. Eric has become darker and darker and lost most of the qualities that once made him a successful priest and human rights advocate and thinks Nicole committed the unforgiveable sin. He once ran a clinic right there in Salem to help people overcome addictions, and now he’s hitting the bottle quite regularly himself.

Roman never saw Eric take up with a woman and romance her if he wasn’t in love with her, yet his latest fling Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) dumped him, citing betrayal. Roman fears his eldest son has entered the slippery slide downwards, and is only picking up speed-and pretending he’s over Nicole when he’s not.

DOOL Spoilers – Forgive, But Never Forget?

Roman keeps pushing Eric to forgive Nicole and fight for her, but it’s like Eric can never forget – and besides, Nicole has moved in with EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel). Eric is a very stubborn man, nearly as stubborn as his twin sister Sami Brady (Allison Sweeney). Roman wonders where they get that, neither he or Marlena were ever that stubborn and unyielding-but then it’s difficult to separate oneself from their self-image! Maybe those kinds of qualities skip a few generations or so-but he keeps working on Eric to fight for his woman and his happiness.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Eric Brady Finally Agrees To Reconsider

Eric finally agrees to reconsider, but it’s difficult not to blame Nicole for the abortion of his child with Jada. Jada herself told him Nicole had told her how hard it was for single mothers, especially those with careers like law enforcement, and it had really made her think. Nicole cannot have children of her own, and Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander) was carried by Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin); it certainly wasn’t that Nicole didn’t want her.

When he thinks of it that way, and remembers what Nicole and Chloe went to so Holly could be born, it gives him a different perspective. Perhaps she didn’t mean to influence Jada, Jada just took it that way-still, it may be difficult to get through to Nicole when she’s committed to EJ.
