DOOL Spoilers  – Jake DiMera’s Abandonment

Most of the time, Kate is pretty good about safeguarding her heart. It’s how she is able to hop from one bed to the other without much guit or heartache. The Salemite did have that intention when she began sleeping with Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash). Even when Jake suggested they have a real relationship and not just a secret fling, Kate was hesitant. Eventually, Kate admitted she was falling for Jake and their official romance lasted several months.

When Jake got back together with Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus), it was a complicated situation. It involved Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), Vivian Alamain (most often played by Louise Sorel), a Kate mask, a hostage jumping out of a moving car, an impromptu hike and a coma. Kate came up with an outrageously extreme scheme to punish “Jabriella,” which is only due to her heart being ripped out. Even though Jake never intended to hurt Kate, the end result was the same… she felt abandoned, rejected and utterly humiliated.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Roman asked Kate once before to rekindle their romance. The Salemite said no, but it was actually Kristen impersonating Kate. So, Roman asked again – the real Kate this time – but his luck didn’t change.

According to the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Kate will meet with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) during the week of October 18. Roman gives Kate the cold shoulder, which is probably not intentional, but a reaction of being rejected. Of course, he might be worried about Doug Williams (Bill Hayes), Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), Sami DiMera (Alison Sweeney) or other loved ones.
