Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of November 25-29 reveal there will be a ton of tears and emotions during a time of year that generally celebrates family, love, and being thankful.
Actor Bill Hayes, who played Doug Williams, passed away earlier this year, and as the soap shoots several months ahead of time, his tribute episodes are on the horizon, coming in early December.
It looks as if Doug will pass away at some point next week, leading up to Thanksgiving; however, it also looks like some bad news is in store for John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) family, too.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – John Black’s Memorial Is Coming
Days spoilers for Thursday, November 28 note that Doug will pass away as Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is given terrible news about her love.
Then, on Friday, November 29, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will have news about John that she shares with Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).
As fans may recall, Drake Hogestyn passed away due to pancreatic cancer in late September. His final episode on the show aired earlier that month.
Drake was battling cancer, and in an effort to fight the illness, he had to go off the canvas.
However, Executive Producer of Days, Ken Corday recently told Soap Opera Digest (SOD) a decision was made to kill off the character in storylines as he hadn’t been on the show for about nine months.
There needed to be a reason for John’s absence, and before Days decided on doing this, they reached out to Hogestyn for his blessing, and the actor okayed it. Corday also expressed that Drake had beaten the disease; a door was open for John to return.
DOOL Spoilers – Thanksgiving Devastation
Fans know that Doug’s goodbye is coming in early December; however, will John Black’s goodbye follow this? The show has already given fans a heads-up that John will be exiting storylines (officially), very soon.
Usually, these episodes are light and festive, as families gather to give thanks for all they have. So, is this all too much tragedy and sadness during Thanksgiving? Will John’s funeral trickle into the Christmas season? Fans will have to tune in to find out.
Looks like DOOL won’t offer the typical feel-good Thanksgiving shows fans are used to, is this a good thing or a bad thing? Comment below! Catch the Peacock soap daily to see what happens next and visit SOS for the best Days of Our Lives spoilers, updates, and news.
