DOOL spoilers reveal that Sarah thinks she is Renee DuMonde. Before Renee’s death, fans might recall seeing her love, heartbreak and attempted murder storyline. Renee and Tony were in love but as with most soap couples, were torn apart.

At one point, Renee tried to murder Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley). Both Tony and Anna survived the boat sinking, but the unborn baby didn’t make it. So, Sarah thinking she is Renee could pose some serious problems for Tony and Anna.

Penghlis spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the storyline. It is confirmed that Chad and Tony head to the deserted island. When they arrive, Chad saves Abigail from a deranged and unhinged Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).

Then, Tony is caught off guard when Sarah leaps into his arms. The actor called it an “overzealous and intrusive greeting,” especially since Tony has no idea that Sarah thinks she is Renee.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Tony quickly realizes that there is something very wrong with Sarah.

“Tony realizes there is something wrong with this girl. He has to placate this person who thinks she’s somebody else, and that somebody else is someone he was very much in love with. He goes along on the ride with Sarah so he doesn’t upset things.”

When Tony returns to Salem, Anna learns about Sarah believing she is Renee. It brings up a lot of emotional history for them. They also disagree on how to handle the situation. Penghlis teased,

“When you’re dealing with someone who has a mental illness, you don’t know where they’re coming from or what they’ll do.”

Considering that Sarah views Anna as the enemy, could “Renee” try to murder her romantic rival again? That certainly is a very real concern, especially if Johnny DiMera aka “JoDevil” (Carson Boatman) gets wind of this situation.
