Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease Sarah Horton Cook’s (Linsey Godfrey) miracle cure’s on the way thanks to Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) and Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton). Rex will always love Sarah, and won’t let her down-and if Rolf can resurrect a whole person, certainly he can resurrect spinal nerves; the two may work together to cure her!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Rex Hears Of Sarah’s Dilemma

Rex hears of Sarah’s dilemma, likely through his mother Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) or perhaps through Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).

He can’t just let Sarah, a fairly new mother be paralyzed the rest of her life, even though he hates her husband Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and the feeling is mutual!

Rex studied under Rolf, and though Rolf’s been on the lam and lying low since escaping in a submarine with Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson) he manages to track him down.

Rex tells Rolf of Sarah’s dilemma, and considers Rolf’s being a fugitive but he’s pretty sure that if Rolf cures Sarah or helps to, his charges could be dropped.

Rex and Rolf have both made miraculous cures in the past, Rex was instrumental in curing Kate, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) from a deadly toxin.

DOOL Spoilers – Rex Brady And Rolf Work Together On A Cure For Sarah Horton

Rolf has resurrected many in the past, including Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) who he kept alive until Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) heart became available.

He was also responsible for resurrecting Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) although he used Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) body, making Steve “Steveano”.

Rex and Rolf work together on a cure for Sarah, but not openly at first-Rex is able to get Sarah’s medical records on the sly, through his old Salem University Hospital log-in.

He doesn’t want to give Sarah and her family false hopes or expose Rolf before the cure is fully developed.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Regenerating Spinal Nerves

First, they take spinal nerves from a dead laboratory animal in order to regenerate them by themselves, and they successfully come up with a protocol after transplant in a live one.

This won’t be an easy task, and won’t even be legal at first-such a risky procedure won’t pass the CDC protocols.

Experimental procedures usually take years to be approved, but Rex is ready and willing to sacrifice his medical license to help Sarah walk again.

They manage to get through to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) providing their research and experiment notes-Rex first, then he brings Rolf’s help to their attention.

They convince Maggie, Kayla, and Xander it’s worth trying and Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) agrees to work on clearing Rolf-they won’t know if it’s a cure for Sarah until they try.
