Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Shawn & Belle On Contract, Martha Madison & Brandon Beemer Talk ‘Best Material’

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Black (Martha Madison) are both back in Salem. This time, both actors are sticking around.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Madison and Beemer discussed why they came back to the soap and teased the “best material” is being written for their characters.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Belle Black’s Return

DOOL spoilers reveal that Belle is coming back to Salem. Belle’s return is for John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) anniversary.

However, fans already know that Hogestyn passed away. When Belle comes back, she will open up to Marlena about another separation with Shawn.

This time, it seems more permanent. In fact, Belle tells her mother that she wants to explore who she is without Shawn. 

Preview clips have shown Belle kissing EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). However, that could get complicated with both Shawn and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) in town at the same time!

DOOL Spoilers: Shawn Brady’s Grief

While Belle returns to Salem single, Shawn will also be in town. Shawn’s reason for being in town is heartbreaking, though.

While Belle is there to celebrate JARLENA, Shawn is back in Salem with Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) to attend Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) funeral. 

At some point, Shawn and Belle will run into each other. They will likely still be on civil terms and they might lean on each other. In fact, in the interview, the actors confirmed that SHELLE are on good terms. 

Martha Madison’s Best Material

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Madison said they were invited to appear for Doug’s funeral. After that, Madison and Beemer were asked if they would like to stay.

Madison explained that it depended on the story. They ended up agreeing and as of right now, Madison gushes that it’s the best material – at least for her character.

“They’ve been writing the best material for us… If I had a dream wish list of everything I wanted to see happen, for both me personally as an employee and also as a character, they’ve checked every box. It’s been amazing.”

Beemer was able to confirm that Shawn has overcome his drinking problem. Beemer was a lot more close-lipped about storylines than Madison! However, Beemer did say this,

“I was very happy to be there for John’s funeral. They could have not had my character there, but I got to be there to celebrate John’s life and Drake, who definitely was gone way too soon. That was really sad, but the show honored him in a very, very beautiful way.”
