Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers suggest Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) will continue to spiral over his father’s shooting by hitting the bottle. However, all arrows seem to point toward the idea that Shawn becoming an alcoholic could end in disaster. Could he end up getting arrested during a drunken stupor? If he serves hard time, could his cousin Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) help him get back on track?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Shawn Brady’s Dealing With Overwhelming Guilt

While everyone keeps telling Shawn not to “blame himself” for what happened to Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), it’s hard for him not to. He, his mom Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso), Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal), and so many others mourned his father’s death.

To find out Bo was alive, and brainwashed, was a shock on so many levels. The cop in Shawn would’ve likely not been so quick to shoot first and ask questions later. But Mr. Brady believed that Bo was brainwashed, and his mother was in danger.

His father was brainwashed by Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson); however, Hope was able to get through to him. But how was Shawn to know that?

As such, this has only enhanced his guilt about his actions, placing his father in a coma. Bo would be back in Salem by now and with family and friends instead of sitting in a hospital bed fighting for his life (again), had Shawn not pulled that trigger.

Lucas has been back here and there since landing in jail for Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) abduction, with his scenes filmed from prison. Could he return to the canvas to help Shawn D? Lucas knows all too well the lure of alcohol when struggling with an issue.

He also knows the pain and chaos it can cause in someone’s life. Mr. Horton won’t want to see his cousin Hope’s son spiral the way he has. If the two cross paths in Statesville, Shawn may reject Lucas and his wisdom at first, but finally give in.
